PRIME TIME DANCE BAND
DIANE EVANGELISTA
Lead Vocals
Diane’s early entertainment influences began through her family’s musical talents. As a little girl, she watched her father’s band playing pop songs of the 70s as the hired house band for banquet halls back when a ‘wedding band’ was in fashion before DJ’s took over dance floors in the late 80s. Her first time with a microphone in hand was in between busing tables at weddings where she sang with her father’s band and audiences were wowed by the courage and stage presence of a young girl. Diane followed pop, classic rock, and new wave music and developed her voice and own style when she joined her first of many bands in 80s. She later settled down with a local rock band, Strate-Up, where she would spend the next twenty years performing across the country modeling the look and sounds of singers like Pat Benatar, Heart and The Pretenders and mastered the classic tunes of Tom Petty, Bob Segar, Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. She has been with Prime Time since its inception in 2012 and renewing the energy of our favorite dance tunes of past and present. Her personality lights up the stage as lead singer and entertains audiences with songs that keep the dance floors alive and the party going! From AquaNet to platforms, Diane transitions through the decades and holds her Diva status through the new millennium’s music frontier.
